Vehicle Accident with Entrapment

At 20:58 Station 71 was dispatched for a vehicle accident with entrapment at the 400 block of Pershing Street in Gallitzin Borough. Due to entrapment Rescue Engine 70 (Keystone Fire - Cresson) was also dispatched for a secondary rescue tool and manpower. Units arrived on scene to find two vehicles with damage with one vehicle on its side with the driver confined inside the vehicle. Personnel from Gallitzin and Cresson quickly stabilized the vehicle, extricated the driver and provided traffic control. Cambria Alliance EMS transported the patient to the hospital while Pennsylvania State Police investigated the accident.
While on this accident another call came in for a water flow alarm at the Allegheny Portage Railroad Visitor Center in District 70 (Keystone Fire - Cresson). Engine 71 responded to this call while other units were on scene of the accident. All 71 units were placed in service at 22:05 .

At approximately 01:30 this morning Rescue Engine 71 (RE71) was dispatched for a cover assignment at Blair Station 20 (Duncansville Fire). While enroute RE71 was reassigned and moved up to assist units on the scene of a commercial structure fire on the 200 block of Inlow Road.

Station 71 was dispatched at 20:13 to assist Blair Station 50 (Allegheny Township Fire) on a commercial vehicle fire on Route 22 (East Bound) near the Hollidaysburg Exit. Rescue Engine 71 and 71 Chief (Nagle) responded.

November 9, 2022 was the first dispatch for ATV71. The first dispatch was at 17:22 to assist District 70 (Keystone / Cresson) for a brush fire on Admiral Peary Highway. The ATV crew and crew from Engine 71 worked together to extinguish hot spots on the right flank of the fire.
