At 23:40 hours, Station 71 was requested to assist Blair County to shut down Sugar Run Road at the Tunnelhill Street intersection.  Crews responded and provided traffic control due to severe icing and weather conditions.  PennDot then requested that the road be shut down until the morning....

At 20:02 hours, Rescue Engine 71 assisted Station 70 with a report of a commercial vehicle accident on Route 22, just east of the Summit Exit.  Crews assisted with shutting down and provided traffic control until the jack knifed tractor trailer was removed from the roadway.

At 11:27 hours, Rescue Engine 71 responded to provide a cover assignment for Station 83 while they operated at a residential structure fire.

At 03:02 hours, Station 71 was dispatched with Cambria Alliance EMS for an inhalation injury.  Engine 71 responded and assisted EMS with patient care and extrication.  Apparently, cleaning chemicals were mixed together causing the hazard.  Crews also assisted with ventilation.

At 07:38 hours Station 71 was alerted for a report of a fire out with smoke in a residence.  Engine 71 responded to the scene and found that a furnace had malfunctioned.  Crews ventilated the residence.  An occupant was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation by Cambria ...
